is just 2 hours from Baubau, the capital city. Global Environment Facility (GEF) supporting further conservation through various approaches. One of the approach is tourism. Since 1999, tourism have been started at Labundo-bundo, a village host to experience Lambusango forest. Beside through tourism, GEF project is also support other conservation initiatives such as village business development, rattan culture, chainsaw licensing system, fair-trade, education and law compliance as well.
